Halle Burton is a public relations professional, published journalist, nonprofit founder, and creative storyteller passionate about connecting people, brands, and organizations through meaningful communication.
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Florida, Halle earned her bachelor's degree in public relations, receiving the Sharon Connell Service Award, UF PR Department Award, UF Presidential Service Award, and is a Florida Blue Key member. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in digital journalism and design at the University of South Florida, continuing to strengthen her expertise in an evolving communications landscape.
With more than four years of professional public relations experience, Halle has developed a diverse portfolio across nonprofit organizations, corporate communications, athletics, and consumer brands. Her experience includes serving as a social media specialist for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation and working with Florida Gators Athletics and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Throughout her career, she has managed digital platforms reaching a combined 3.3 million followers, secured media coverage, and collaborated with nationally recognized brands including Dillard's, Clinique, Batiste, and PINK.
Beyond her professional communications career, Halle is the founder and CEO of Serve Our States (S.O.S.), a nonprofit organization she established more than a decade ago to empower young people through service, leadership, and mental wellness. Under her leadership, the organization has developed youth leadership programs, published two Amazon #1 New Release activity books, and impacted thousands of students through community initiatives.
Whether developing a brand's voice, coordinating a communications campaign, cultivating strategic partnerships, or connecting with new clients, Halle believes the most effective public relations begin with authentic relationships and purposeful storytelling.
Today, Halle is focused on helping businesses, organizations, and individuals strengthen their presence, communicate their purpose, and create connections that lead to lasting impact. Through a blend of creativity, strategy, and genuine enthusiasm for people, she strives to make every story worth sharing and every connection count.

AdventHealth BAML Ambassador
AdventHealth for Children and Heart of Florida United Way teamed up to start a movement that gets children and parents talking about mental health and empowers them to “Be a Mindleader.” As a Be a Mindleader (BAML) Ambassador, Halle works alongside other ambassadors to create content for digital media campaigns and attend mental health awareness events.
NAMI Next Gen FL Board Member
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Halle serves as one of six Floridians on the NAMI Next Gen FL Board and is the Events and Programming Lead.
FLMHAC Power Advocate
The Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of organizations that advocate for policy changes to improve the quality of life for those who live with a mental illness in the state of Florida. Halle has lobbied alongside the leaders of 30+ mental health organizations for mental health-based legislation.
Breaking Thru Spokesperson
Breaking Thru is a national initiative rethinking how we support the next generation through the 7 areas that shape every young person's life. It brings together leaders from different career paths and backgrounds to confront the youth mental health crisis and protect young people before they reach a breaking point. I serve as an official spokesperson and a representative for Gen Z.
