BIO
Halle Burton is Miss Florida Citrus 2025, an author, and founder of “Serve Our State,” an established nonprofit corporation. She is a recent Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in public relations, earning the UF Presidential Service Award and UF PR Department Senior Award. Halle is a member of the Florida Blue Key, the oldest and most prestigious leadership honor society in Florida, and serves as the executive director of Florida’s Future Leadership Program, a cohort dedicated to service and developing UF’s top 26 freshmen leaders.
In addition to her collegiate studies, Halle is heavily involved in her UF and local community: she was a 3-year member of the Gatorettes, the official majorette line of the Gator Marching Band, a two-time executive board member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, a vice chair for Student Government Institute, a Keystone cohort member, and an elected student senator. During her senate term, she appropriated a $21 million budget, served as co-chair of the Mental Health Ad-Hoc Committee and vice chair of the Information and Communication Standing Committee, and unanimously passed SSB 2024-1136, changing the legislative codes and constituency requirements to add community service.
Halle has over two years of professional experience as a public relations specialist, working as a PR intern for UF’s Office of Strategic Communications and publishing 14 featured stories for UF News. With hopes of being a female trailblazer in the male-dominated football industry, Halle also works with the Florida Gators and the University Athletic Association as a “Blueshirt” volunteer with the marketing team and an intern with the creative media & branding team. Aside from managing social media platforms for accounts like @FloridaGators and @GatorsStudents, Halle also prioritizes promoting her brand — @HappyHalledays, which has over 100,000 followers and 25 million total views. She created the daily series “365 Happy Days” and features the hashtag #HappyYoureHere to promote positive thinking.
As the founder of Serve Our State, Halle has spent over 8 years promoting volunteerism and fostering positive relationships with service through hosting nationwide campaigns/projects. She currently works with an advisory board of 21 students from 11 states to expand her outreach. After losing a dear friend to suicide in high school, she transitioned her focus to highlight the mental health benefits of service and lobbies with the Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition for an improved mental health infrastructure for all Floridians. In January, Halle was named a brand ambassador for AdventHealth’s Be a Mindleader campaign.
The Super Servers is a strategic initiative to create service-driven mindsets with the next generation of leaders, and they travel with Halle to host engaging and interactive classroom workshops. In October 2024, Halle published “The Super Servers: A Children’s Activity Book,” which launched as a #1 New Release on Amazon. In April 2025, she published her second #1 New Release, “The Citrus Servers.” Through the adventures of inclusive superheroes, children learn that being a leader isn’t just about strength or power—it’s about using their unique abilities to help others, work together, and create positive change in their communities. The book includes worksheets and activities, including a “Design your own Super Server” page. Each year, a child-designed superhero is announced and featured as the Super Server of the Year!
Halle got involved with the Miss America Opportunity at 6 years old as a part of the Florida Sunshine Mentoring Program and loves mentoring as Miss River City 2023, Miss Gainesville 2024, and Miss Florida Citrus 2025. Due to the scholarships she earned throughout her participation with Miss America, Halle will be pursuing a graduate program at the University of Florida.
